The Festive Cheer!

Yesterday we got a tree!! It's the best tree in the world and it was only $22!! It's a Douglas Fir.
We went to Ikea but they only had a few dead trees left so we ditched that idea and went to Home Depot where we spotted a beautiful tree. I think it was the model one that they lure customers in with before presenting them with a forest of oddly-shaped twigs but we asked the man and he said we could have it (complete with bow) so we loaded it onto the truck and chose some decorations then paid. We had to also go to Canadian Tire because Home Depot didn't have any Christmas Tree stands an after that we went home to put it up! While the boys were playing with axes me an Debbie were chilling in the kitchen where I cooked up a freaking awesome curry so we drank a couple beers and ate that. Then we finished decorating the tree and played a game called Sound Off which is like Charades but with sounds instead of actions. It was quite a lot of fun and I gained some festive cheer.

Debbie has just come in all drunken and rowdy cuz she got a job today so I better go and fan away all the beer fumes before my heater catches fire. Also, Greg's making soup for dinner so I might have to go and eat (in three hours)
Have fun!
