Again, sorry for the lack of blogs but we've pretty much done all the exciting things to do and are now in a boring routine. A good part of the routine is Debbie and I's days out which happen every Thursday as that's usually when we have days off together. More details about that later. Firstly, on Sunday I was a proper housewife and made soup and bread.
I had to work Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday so I didn't do anything very much. It's kinda annoying because I never do anything in the mornings because I'm working at 3.30 and then I'm too tired to do anything by the time I get home. I really enjoys my days off though which is good.
Anyway, Thursday... We were going to go to a photography exhibition out at UBC but by the time we got organised it was pretty late so we just went downtown where I did some shopping. I got a nice brown leather (or faux leather, jury's still out) bag and a pair of black gym shoes for $50 from Urban Outfitters, which was pretty good. By that time we were pretty hungry and it was nearing dinner time so we put our Indian food plan in to action and went to Granville and ate some Indian food. We shared vegetable pakoras for starter and they were pretty awesome. They came with this green dip stuff that was actually amazing. I wish I knew what it was. The restaurant also has a shop bit where I think it sells it's food so I'll maybe go see if I can find it there sometime.
Debbie tucking into her pakora. You can see the green stuff on the right on the leaf next to the silver bowl.

After our early dinner we went to a tea shop on Main Street called Shaktea. It was pretty nice inside and my tea was nice (Debbie didn't like her chai latte), but there were signs up everywhere saying what you were and were not supposed to do and the woman who was working was pretty rude. Plus I never got my tea leaves in my pot so I couldn't ask for a second infusion. I told Pierre at my work about this and we had a bit of a tea snob conversation. I enjoyed feeling superior.
There's a shop on Main Street called the Regional Assembly of Text and it sells lots of cute cards and stationary and things and the first Thursday of every month they hold a letter-writing club where you can go and use their typewriters and stationary and things and it's free so we went up there after our tea but I think we arrived too late because all the typewriters were being used. Instead we played about with some rubber stamps they had so it wasn't a wasted journey.
Debbie looking happy to be at the Regional Assembly of Text but doing something weird with her hand.
That pretty much concluded our date.
I was working on Friday and so far today I've recycled some beer cans and bought some shopping. Not sure what I'm doing later but I hope it involves some eating because I'm starving.
I'll try and do some more interesting things and write about them but no promises. Me and Debbie are meant to be going snowboarding on Monday so if I'm still alive after that I'll blog then.
